| Every Saturday at noon, the
former Saluting Battery at the Upper Barracca Garden in Valletta, the
Capital of Malta, resounds to the sound of an 1807 Blomefield 24
pounder. Denis Darmanin, pictured on right, who is involved in the restoration and rehabilitation of Fort Rinella on the Mediterrean Island sent these pictures. You can find more about their efforts at their web site The courage of the people of Malta during World War 2 was recognised with the award of the George Cross by the British Crown. |
