Every Saturday at noon, the former Saluting Battery at the Upper Barracca Garden in Valletta, the Capital of Malta, resounds to the sound of an 1807 Blomefield  24 pounder.

The courage of the people of Malta during World  War 2 was recognised with the award of the George Cross by the British Crown.
